What's New at Total Transformation

When I opened Total Transformation in 2013, I began as a personal trainer and fitness class instructor, but I realized very quickly how much more complicated wellness was than a simple workout routine. People began to show up at their initial consultation because they wanted to lose weight and get healthier, but most often before they left on the first day we were talking about much more in-depth life circumstances - friendships, marital and relationship stress, work stress, financial stress, family members that were ill, emotional struggles... any number of the things that life throws at us on any given day.


It became obvious to me in a short amount of time that although it is important to understand the mechanics of exercise and the components of fitness, this is not the biggest challenge that we face when it comes to creating new habits and becoming healthier and happier. It is much less about the mechanics and much more about how to adopt new habits into your daily routine in a way that is realistic and sustainable. It is much more about motivation, accountability, and establishing a support network, and it is next to impossible to focus only on physical wellness, removing all the real-life circumstances that surround us in our lives.


This was the reason that I began developing Foundations in 2014. Foundations is an eight-week behavior change program that takes a multi-dimensional approach to your health and wellness. I first began using it in my own life, but when I saw how successful it was in my own life it wasn't long before I began using the program with the clients that I worked with one-on-one. When I began to see how many of my clients were getting results from the program, my goal then became to publish the program so that anyone could work through Foundations on their own.


When the COVID Pandemic wiped out all of the services that I offered through Total Transformation I came very close to throwing in the towel and closing my business. However, after taking some time to give it some thought I was reminded why I opened Total Transformation in the first place. I had been working on developing Total Transformation and publishing Foundations for far too long to give up. I believed in it too much to walk away. Instead of quitting, I decided to take my own advice, re-evaluate, and make whatever changes I needed to in order to stay the course.


I expanded my education, and I am now an NCCA accredited Health Coach and Behavior Change Specialist through the American Council on Exercise, and three years after COVID had me so close to giving up, I have finally published Foundations: An eight-week behavior change program designed to create a balanced, stable, and fulfilled life.


Whether you are looking to improve your career, health and fitness, relationships, spirituality, financial stability, or emotional well-being, a solid foundation will give you the strength to overcome any obstacle that stands in your way.


The Foundations workbook will walk you through every step of the eight-week program, and you can complete it completely on your own if you so choose. However, I will be soon announcing dates for Getting Started Workshops that I will hold this summer for anyone that prefers to work with a group - if this is you then send me a message to reserve your spot!


The Foundations Podcast is also another free resource that I have created to offer additional support as you work through the program. Here you will hear real stories from individuals that have worked through Foundations in the past or are going through the program now. We will cover advice on goal setting, exercise routines, managing chronic illness, strategies to manage stress, how to tap into your motivations, and much more.
